Purpose
Power is prevalent in every organization. Likewise, workplace teams may also inherit these dynamics. Understanding, implementing, and addressing power is important for workplace teams to develop healthy social norms and effective collaboration. Factors of perceived power and actual power impact teams in both positive and negative aspects. Positive aspects are areas of influence that benefit the team, where negative aspects may be exhibited through threats.
